We don’t have many, but the ones we have are “Game Changers.” We have been fortunate to have raised several National and International Red females through the years. We believe Lady H Venus Rojo 188/8 is as good as any red or gray female to wear the Heritage brand. She is the reigning 2020 International Reserve Junior Champion and the 2020 Ft. Worth Reserve Grand Champion. As a 3 generation Red pedigreed heifer, Venus 188/8 is exactly where our Red program is headed. The dam of Venus 188/8 is one of my favorites, HK Ms America 151. The 151 cow is built like a tank, being sound, round, and low to the ground, and she is backed by a Red Ancestry that reads like a who’s who. She is a daughter of arguably the most influential Red sire of All times, +Mr H Winchester Magnum 999 over a Mr 3X Totally Awesome daughter. The sire of Venus 188/8 is +Mr H Red Rhino 765, the 2007 International Grand Champion Red Bull. The progeny of +Mr H Red Rhino 765 can be found in nearly every country that breeds Red Brahmans. He has had a major impact on producing sound, functional cattle that excel in length of body, dark red pigmentation, and ideal hump placement. Furthermore, he is the sire to the #1 cow in the ABBA’s Register of Renown (by a longshot) +CT Lady Rhineaux Ray 8/9. Whether you are new to the breed or have been producing cattle for years, we believe this offering will pay huge dividends now, and the foreseeable future.
Venus 188/8 is due to calve in November 2020, it is highly probable the purchaser of this term interest lot will have the opportunity to aspirate in January 2021. Lord willing, our plans are to continue campaigning Lady H Venus Rojo 188/8 through the 2021 International Show.

You have heard it said the magic is in the cows, but I firmly believe the power is in the bulls.
While many folks have a favorite cow, it would be difficult to argue against the idea that the bull is the single most important animal on an operation. His fertility impacts conception rates, calving intervals, and calving rates. His genetics help determine calf birth weight, calving ease, and calf performance. He also determines the sex of the calf, and contributes heavily towards the disposition, color, and age of puberty in his daughters.
When making the decision to buy a bull, set the goals for your herd. Identify bulls with the genetic potential to reach those goals, disregard any bull without known genetic information, then select a bull based on the phenotype, or other criteria you require.
We are excited about the bulls we are offering in our Private Treaty Sale. They are uniquely bred to add value to your ranch and next years’ calves. They are genetically and phenotypically superior to other bulls on the market today. More importantly, each bull is backed by individual ancestors that are highly regarded as the most elite Brahman cattle in the world. As an added bonus, all 5 of these bulls are the results of natural matings and were nursed and raised by their Brahman mothers. As much as we like new technology and embryos, I am a big believer in proving our cows before harvesting embryos. We demand our cows have the ability to calve and produce adequate milk to wean off a heavy calf.

#Beastmode Friends. Call me crazy, but I firmly believe if our Brahman breed is going to keep improving, we simply cannot hoard all of the best bulls. Kelton 308/9 is one you can own with us. He is a bull we plan to keep, show, promote, and market semen. The sky is truly the limit. Kelton 308/9 is sired by JDH Turkana Manso 607/6 that we co-own with Forgason Division of J.D. Hudgins. Our first calves out of Turkana 607/6 showed at the 2020 All American where he sired the Reserve Calf Champion Gray Female, the Reserve Junior Champion Gray Female, and the Reserve Grand Champion Gray bull who was also the high scanning individual in the carcass contest.
The dam of Mr H Kelton Manso 308/9 is Lady Slugger Kay Manso 763/4. Friends, it would be easy to write a chapter on her pedigree alone. She is a daughter of the National and International Grand Champion JDH Clanton de Manso 313/8 who is arguably one of the best +JDH Woodson de Manso 206/7 sons produced.
The dam of Slugger Kay 763/4 is another one of our top donors, JDH Lucky Lady Manso 606/7, a producer of National Champions in Panama and dam of several babies in our show barn. Lucky Lady 606/7 is sired by the famous maternal performance sire, (=)JDH Riddell Manso bull 929/6.
We are selling a 50% breeding interest in Mr H Kelton Manso 308/9. Future advertising, maintenance, and semen collection will be allotted between owners. For more information, give us a call.
